Brazilian British Centre

Who we are

The BBC (Brazilian British Centre) was conceived by Cultura Inglesa São Paulo to gather all the institutions and activities related to the culture, education, leisure and commerce between Brazil and the United Kingdom, including the Cultura Inglesa´s Headquarter, and it was inaugurated in 2.000, with the presence of Mario Covas, the state governor by that time. It was projected by Botti Rubin Arquitetos Associados, and the complex has a total area of 13.000 m², and houses the Duke of York Auditorium with capacity of 160 seats, three galleries for exhibitions, a library specialized in contemporaneous British reading and information centre about the United Kingdom, rooms for individual or group meetings, as well as the following institutions:
