British Council

The British Council is the United Kingdom’s international organisation for promoting educational opportunities and cultural relations, via a network of offices in 110 countries.

Its mission is to spread ideas and promote events from the United Kingdom, and encourage long-lasting and mutually beneficial relationships between the UK and other countries. In all its activities, focus is given on direct and indirect contact with the younger generation, presenting a contemporary view of the UK, its diverse population and its four distinct countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
